everyone knows how awesomely cool WINDOWS VISTA is yea.. like with the cool layout and the new resounding startup tone, and the cool interface and blablabla
well it totally sucks
decided to go with the crowd and installed vista into my lappie. didnt have enough space to dl into my primary drive, so i installed it into my secondary drive (i.e. so i can boot either XP or Vista when i turn on my com). Installation took about 45min. excited that i was, i tried it out, and i realised that, although it works, it lags like crazy cuz my comp is somewhat lousy. and its pretty frikking irritating cuz everytime u wanna access ur stuff, the com has to ask u permission to access/move/copy it.
Afterwards, i got sick of it, so i tried to uninstall it. cldnt unistall it from Add/Remove programs, tried to delete it manually from my HD but cldnt, tried this tried that, and it still wldnt get out of my comp
so i did the most drastic thing; i 'killed' my HD using KillDisk, which was a rather harrowing experience, cuz i then realised that actions caused my 40gb HD to suddenly disappear into thin air.
thank goodness i was able to find where the memory went to, and spent an hour partitioning the drive, and now its back and VISTA free.
lesson learnt: vista sucks unless ur comp is pro and u dun give a shit about the security measures and shit, and u have programmes that are 'vista friendly'
otherwise, stick to xp, u'll appreciate it.
